Exhibitions on the history of Estonian railways and communication technology
The historic Haapsalu railway station houses exhibitions on the history of Estonian railways, as well as the history of telephones, radios, and televisions. Exhibition "City of Broken Crutches. Haapsalu Resort 200"
"City of Broken Crutches" tells the story of Haapsalu's rich history as a summer resort. The broken crutches symbolize health and the success of mud therapy. Visitors can get hands-on by trying out various board and card games and experiencing Haapsalu's vibrant café culture.
Exhibition: "In Full View: 20 Years of the Ilon Wikland Collection in Haapsalu"
This year, Ilon’s Wonderland celebrates its 20th anniversary. For all these years, the walls of Ilon’s Wonderland have been adorned with illustrations by the world-renowned artist Ilon Wikland. These works tell the stories of our childhood heroes, but they also reflect Ilon’s extraordinary life journey, which has unfolded both here at home and abroad.
Exhibition of Ilon Wikland’s illustrations: "The Worlds of Ronja, the Robber's Daughter"
The exhibition features illustrations created by Ilon Wikland for Astrid Lindgren's book "Ronja, the Robber's Daughter". The artworks are divided into "worlds"—places, encounters, and experiences through which Ronja moves, grows, and discovers both herself and the world around her. Quotes from the book help to unveil these worlds and give them a voice of their own. This year marks the 45th anniver
